The collaboration between BEAMS and adidas resulted in the creation of the Yung-1 sneaker, which draws inspiration from the distinctive aesthetics of the 90s and showcases the playful spirit of the Japanese retailer. Released in March 2019, this particular iteration of the sneaker, known as the 'Triple Black', features a combination of mesh and suede material on its upper, giving it a sleek and contemporary appearance that starkly contrasts with the model's unconventional design in the past. Additionally, the inclusion of reflective elements ensures visibility even in low light conditions, while the monochromatic look cleverly conceals the lateral Three-Stripes. Paying homage to the running heritage of the era, the Yung-1 sneaker incorporates a chunky EVA midsole and a Torsion X-bar.
