In 2014, ASICS teamed up with Boston sneaker boutique Bodega to introduce the Gel Lyte 5 Get Wet in two different colorways: Vapor Blue and Olive Gray. The Get Wet sneaker is specifically designed to cater to various activities and weather conditions. It boasts a waterproof construction, utilizing materials like GoreTex, nylon, and 3M panels. To generate excitement for the release, a scavenger hunt was conducted, where the sneakers were hidden in six different cities around the world. Soon after, the shoes became available for purchase both in Bodega stores and online. Additionally, the shoebox includes a USB drive that contains exclusive content created in collaboration with ASICS and Bodega.
