The 2016 ‘Blue Carpenter Bee’ collaboration between Berlin retailer Solebox and Japanese brand ASICS was inspired by a Southeast Asian blue bee species, as revealed by the founder of Solebox, Hikmet Sugoer. Featuring a high-quality black nubuck base, the shoe showcases a vibrant blue felt-like textile on the split tongue, quarter panel, and collar. The presence of Solebox branding on the heel and lateral ankle, along with bee graphics on the footbed and translucent outsole insert, further pay tribute to this special collaboration.
