In honor of Alien Day on April 26, 2017, Reebok launched a special two-shoe collection inspired by the epic final battle in James Cameron's 1986 film Aliens. The first shoe in the collection, called the 'Queen' Alien Stomper Mid, draws its design cues from the slick black appearance of the Xenomorph XX121. It boasts a glossy black patent leather upper and a luminescent midsole that glows in the dark. Additionally, this shoe proudly exhibits the iconic 'XX121' branding on its bottom strap. The second shoe, appropriately named the 'Powerloader', pays homage to the forklift-like exoskeleton operated by Ripley during her face-off with the queen. Adorned with yellow leather and black stripes that take inspiration from the machine's arms, the shoe also incorporates a mesh panel overlay resembling the net canopy on the exoskeleton's roof. Completing the design, the 'Powerloader' features an arresting icy orange outsole that mirrors the power loader's unmistakable orange siren light.
