BAIT, a Southern California retailer, has collaborated with adidas to create a special-edition Nizza High sneaker. The design of this sneaker is inspired by 'Initial D,' a popular Japanese street racing manga from 1995. Specifically, the shoe draws inspiration from the Toyota AE86, the vehicle driven by the manga's main protagonist, Takumi Fujiwara. The vintage hoops shoe boasts a sleek white canvas upper, complemented by a rubberized toe cap and a suede heel overlay. Notable branding elements include the Initial D logo positioned on the lateral ankle and a BAIT wordmark featured on the contrasting black heel strip. Furthermore, the white rubber midsole incorporates tire-tread bumpers, which bear the 'Fujiwara Tofu Shop' in Japanese lettering. Additionally, the sneaker showcases a black oversized heel tab that mimics the appearance of a Japanese license plate. With meticulous attention to detail, BAIT and adidas have successfully crafted a unique footwear piece that pays homage to the beloved 'Initial D' manga.
